Dr. Qi Zhou joined the Department of Civil Engineering as a faculty member in 2017.

Prior to his move to Canada, he worked as a postdoctoral research associate at the University of Cambridge's Department of Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics in the UK. In 2015, Dr. Zhou earned his PhD with a thesis focusing on internal waves and stratified turbulence from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York.
Before his time at Cornell, he attended Stanford University in California and Nanyang Technological University in Singapore.
