Tetsuya Ishida (石田 徹也, Ishida Tetsuya, June 16, – May 23, ) was a contemporary Japanese painter known for his surrealist portrayal of lateth and earlyst century Japanese city life.[1] His works typically depict hyperrealistic boys and men whose bodies are integrated into everyday appliances, industrial machinery, civic architecture, and animal forms.[2] Ishida's paintings address the themes of isolation, consumerism, academic & professional workplace anxieties, and urban banality.[3]
